Logs

Privacy Policy

Effective Date: June 3, 2026

1. Summary

Logs stores your account and your time logs on our servers so that your data is backed up and available across your devices. We do not sell your data, we do not show you ads, and we do not use your logs for anything other than running the app. You can delete your account and everything in it from inside the app at any time.

2. What We Collect

Account information

When you sign in with Apple, we receive a unique identifier for your Apple account. If you choose to share it, we also receive your email address and name. If you use Apple’s "Hide My Email" option, we only ever see a private relay address, never your real one.

Your time logs

The activities you record in the app — labels, categories, start and end times, durations, and any notes you add.

Technical and diagnostic information

Basic technical data such as your device model, operating system version, app version, and anonymised crash or error reports. This helps us fix bugs and keep the app working.

What we do not collect

  • We do not collect your contacts, photos, location, or health data
  • We do not track you across other apps or websites
  • We do not collect payment information — any purchases are handled entirely by Apple

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information described above only to:

  • Create and maintain your account and sign you in
  • Store your time logs and sync them across your devices
  • Generate the summaries, charts, and insights shown inside the app
  • Diagnose crashes, fix bugs, and improve the app
  • Respond to you if you contact support

We do not use your logs for advertising, profiling, or training machine learning models, and we do not sell or rent your information to anyone.

4. Where Your Data Is Stored

Logs uses Google Firebase (Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore), a service provided by Google LLC, to host your account and your logs. Firebase acts as our data processor and stores data on Google Cloud infrastructure. Data may be stored and processed on servers located outside your country of residence, including in the United States.

You can read Google’s privacy commitments for Firebase at firebase.google.com/support/privacy.

5. Third Parties We Rely On

Logs works with a small number of service providers. They process data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes:

  • Apple — provides Sign in with Apple authentication and handles any App Store transactions
  • Google Firebase — provides authentication, database hosting, and crash reporting

We do not share your information with anyone else, except where we are legally required to do so, such as in response to a valid legal request.

6. Data Retention and Deleting Your Account

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from within the app, under Settings. Deleting your account permanently removes your profile and all of your time logs from our active systems.

Residual copies may remain in encrypted backups for up to 30 days before being overwritten in the normal backup rotation. Anonymised, aggregated statistics that cannot identify you may be retained.

7. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Most of these are available directly in the app, and for anything else you can contact us using the details below. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, our legal basis for processing your data is the performance of our contract with you — that is, providing the app you asked to use — and, for diagnostic data, our legitimate interest in keeping the app functional and secure.

8. Security

Data is encrypted in transit using TLS and encrypted at rest by Google Cloud infrastructure. Access to your logs is restricted by security rules so that only your authenticated account can read or write them. No system can be guaranteed completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

9. Children’s Privacy

Logs is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to This Policy

If we update this Privacy Policy, we will revise the effective date above and notify you through the app or the App Store update notes. Continued use of Logs after the changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
